Rules
1. SADD Saskatchewan will be alcohol and drug free. We have a ‘zero tolerance’ policy with regard to this matter. Delegates using drugs or alcohol during the conference will be asked to leave.
2. Smoking is illegal in public places in SADD Saskatchewan. There is an area (outside) where smoking is permitted for ‘adult advisors’. We strongly discourage delegate smoking but this will be up to the advisors discretion and shall only be tolerated if the delegate is in the permitted area. The University will charge for any smoking that makes place within the buildings. Any such charges shall be passed on to the responsible delegation.
3. We ask you to follow our request with respect to curfew times. We will not tolerate complaints from the University with respect to students being out of their rooms or excessively loud after curfew. University security will deal directly with all complaints, on an individual basis, and at their discretion.
4. All delegates are expected to attend all conference activities and sessions. Adult advisors will ensure that their delegates are at the sessions and activities. Delegates not attending a session must be absent with the consent of their adult advisor, or with their advisor.
5. SADD Saskatchewan holds the right to expel any delegate from the conference at their discretion. This would include for reasons such as breaking the rules, inappropriate behaviour toward any fellow delegate or speaker, placing themselves or others in jeopardy and/or complaints from the University regarding their behaviour on their premises. Being at this conference does not constitute a forum for irresponsible behaviour, discrimination, harassment, etc.
6. Delegates who are expelled from the conference will be sent home at their own expense and their conference fees will not be reimbursed in any part.
7. Adult advisors have the right to enforce any additional rules that they have set with their respective groups. We anticipate that adult advisors will be diligently supervising their students, with little or no intervention from SADD Saskatchewan at all times. We anticipate that school travel expectations and dress codes will be adhered to.
